Trouble with Trebles

This blog is to keep track of my knitting, other craft projects, and the weird bits of life that don't fit anywhere else.

The Hobby that Took Over Our Closet

Our one walk-in closet in the house has been designated for storing hobby-related stuff. My husband pointed out last night that he has 3 items to put in the closet and the entire rest of it is crammed with my crafting supplies. It doesn't help that the amount has expanded since we've moved, and there are two big containers of fabric that don't even fit. Never mind that I sew maybe three to four times a year. In my defense, I did point out that my hobby yields wearable items and useful things like couch pillows and curtains. I think that makes my hobby worthy of a fair amount of space, don't you?

Here are two tiny little hats I knit for the new baby. With RJ, all the hats I made were too big, so this time I am making ones that are much smaller. I knit these in the very beginning, before I knew for sure I was pregnant. So, just to be safe I knit one in "boy colors" and the other in "girl colors" (not that I'm tied to such things, but if they ended up gifts I wanted them to appeal to others as well). Now that I know we are having a girl, I can knit a sweater to match the purple/pink one. I used up a bunch yarn ends to make the hats, and I must admit it was oodles of fun. The only problem is weaving in all those ends. ;)
