Sorry to be off the radar for a few weeks. Our new baby girl arrived just after Christmas on December 26th at 11:01 am. Iva Juliet was 6lbs 1oz and 19.5 inches. The birth went fairly smoothly and we are all doing well. RJ is a great big sister and we are so happy with our two little girls!

I have the odd distinction of having grown up on an actual functioning dairy farm in the midwest, but have left that behind to pursue life as a professor in the "big city" (i.e., anyplace with more than 20 people living on less than 100 acres of land). I don't miss farm life very much, although I have retained an odd fondness for overalls.
